Welcome to Term 2B, Primary 4!
We are delighted to welcome everyone back for Term 2B — a busy, exciting, and enriching part of our school year. Over the coming weeks, we will continue exploring all areas of the Northern Ireland Curriculum, developing our skills, deepening our understanding, and growing together as confident, enthusiastic learners.
Learning Across the Curriculum
This term, Primary 4 will be engaging with a wide range of learning experiences across all curriculum areas:
Language & Literacy
- Developing skills in comprehension, creative writing, and spelling
- Exploring different types of texts and expressing ideas clearly through writing and discussion
Mathematics & Numeracy
- Continuing work on number, measures, and shape and space
- Strengthening skills in addition, subtraction, times tables, problem-solving, and working with number bonds
The World Around Us
- Investigating key topics through Science, History, and Geography
- Asking questions, exploring, experimenting, and discovering how the world works
The Arts
- Creating artwork using various techniques
- Developing drama, music, and artistic expression through creative activities
Personal Development & Mutual Understanding (PDMU)
- Learning about friendships, feelings, and making positive choices
- Building confidence, cooperation, and emotional awareness
ICT
- Using technology to create, present, and explore learning
- Developing digital skills safely and responsibly
Physical Education
- Staying active through games, fitness activities, and team-based skills
- Building coordination, resilience, and healthy habits
Sacramental Preparation
Primary 4 will have two very special celebrations this term:

We look forward to preparing together for these important milestones in your child’s spiritual journey.
Welcoming Our German Student, Willi!
This term, we are excited to welcome Willi, our visiting student from Germany. He will be supporting learning in Primary 4 while developing his English. We are delighted to have him as part of our classroom community and know you will all help make him feel very welcome.
