Primary 7

Welcome to Primary 7 at St. Eugene's PS!

This is a very important year for the eldest pupils of our school:

They become our pupil leaders: Head Boy and Girl, School Council and Green Team, and ‘Buddies’ in our Nursery and playground.
They take part in transition activities, getting ready to move to Post-primary, including the Transfer Test, school visits, workshops and competitions.
They begin preparations for the Sacrament of Confirmation, which will take place at St. Eugene’s Cathedral in February 2026.
They will enjoy the Primary 7 Curriculum in numeracy, literacy and other subjects through topics such as Invention and Innovation (including Titanic) in Term 1, and Hunger, focusing on the history and impacts of the 1845 ‘An Gorta Mór’ in Ireland during Term 2.
