Primary 7 had an inspiring trip to the Ulster American Folk Park in Omagh today! Exploring life during the Famine brought this term’s ‘Hunger’ theme to life as they stepped into life in the 1840s and into the footsteps of emigrants from Ireland. It was a memorable journey through local history and a particularly special day for Barry, who was able to visit the home of his ancestor, Thomas Mellon.
